We have an exciting opportunity to join our in house Design team as a Digital Project Manager.

 

ABOUT THE TEAM

The Iceland Group Design, Creative & POS Team is unique in the UK in that we operate as design agency, advertising agency and production company in one. Spanning functions normally found in-house such as POS allocation to those more often external, such as TV advertising production.

 

Main responsibilities are:

 

Project Management

The role involves responsibility for the teams workflow and project management. As such the individual will take responsibility for motivating the team and ensuring all work is delivered on time and to the required standard.

Collaboration

Collaboration with colleagues from across the business is a vital to the success of this role, therefore strong personal communication and organisational skills are important.

Mentoring

The role will assume line management for 6 existing designers, so the individual will demonstrate the ability to mentor and coach the team, whilst allowing team members the space to develop.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Creating commercially focused work which prioritises strong communication hierarchy
  • Motivating the team to deliver high quality work with strong attention to detail within a fast-paced environment
  • Managing workload through the team, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Mentoring and maintaining the wellbeing of the team members
  • Presenting work to key stakeholders
  • Ensuring work delivers on Iceland Design strategy
  • Ensuring work is focused on our core customer
  • Delivering on all objectives and mentoring all reports to do deliver on theirs
  • Leading by example and demonstrating a positive professional attitude at all times

 

KPI’s

  • Driving sales via strong commercially focused communication
  • Taking responsibility for accuracy of the teams output
  • Guaranteeing consistency
  • Taking responsibility for delivering on all deadlines
  • Ensuring all content / material is accurate and legal
  • Delivering on all objectives (as agreed with Head of Design)
  • Driving strong staff engagement (as measured by annual Pulse survey)

 

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Working knowledge of digital project management tools
  • Working knowledge of digital content management platforms
  • Working knowledge of HTML5

 

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE

  • Excellent organisation, prioritisation and project management skills
  • Strong understanding of and ability to deliver purposeful and effective design
  • Ability to create clear messaging hierarchy
  • Ability to view work from the customer point of view
  • Excellent verbal communications skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to motivate and mentor a team, understanding individual requirements
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Leadership experience preferred
