Description

We are seeking a highly creative Camera Operator and Video Editor to join our in-house Studio team at Iceland Head Office. The successful Camera Operator / Video Editor will have strong motion graphics skills and ability to work solo or collaboratively and be as comfortable in the edit suite as they are on a set: either studio or location based.

We are looking for Camera Operator that is proficient with DSLR, camcorder and professional video camera operation, able to capture the footage, ingest and edit to brief. Key responsibilities will include delivering engaging multiple category video content for the Iceland brand, across multiple channels, producing a wide array of short form digital video content with multichannel deployment and will have overall ownership of the creative projects briefed.

As Camera Operator/ Video Editor you will be working with key stakeholders across various departments to deliver videos and motion graphics for various types of content- including VOD, editorial, showreels, advertising, interviews, vox pops, live events, social and cinemagraphs.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient with DSLR, camcorder and professional video camera operation.
  • Excellent working experience of lighting kit and setup and experience of audio capture kit and setup.
  • Ability to shoot and edit to an industry leading standard.
  • Ability to direct talent in a high pressure studio environment.
  • Relevant professional experience in editing and grading in Adobe Premiere.
  • Competent in use of After Effects. Cinema 4D skills would be an advantage.
  • Ability to source and negotiate with music licensing, or commissioning original music.
  • Excellent understanding of file formats and industry standard codecs and encoding.

Essential Criteria

  • A relevant qualification at HND or degree is preferable.
  • Excellent camera operating and video editing experience within agency, broadcaster or in-house team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and able to prioritise and effectively manage multiple projects
  • Proven experience of leading teams, on set, on location or in production facility.
  • Must have an inspiring showreel demonstrating shooting, editing and motion graphics capabilities.
  • Ability to work within Brand guidelines and consistently interpret them into online solutions.
  • Strong ability to translate written brief into engaging and inspiring linear communication.
  • Ability to create customer-centric communications.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, organised and take full ownership of projects.
  • Strong client facing skills, negotiation skills, team player and experienced problem solver.
  • A full driving licence is required as UK and International travel may be required.
  • Flexible attitude to working patterns to reflect the business requirements. Likely to include some long working days and weekends.
  • Demonstrate behavioural characteristics in line with Iceland brand values.
