We are looking for an Employee (ER) Specialist to support our full ER Advisory Service, through expert knowledge and effective coaching. Priorities can change quickly so you will need to be resilient and adaptable, and in return we guarantee you will never be bored. 

The role is full time on a hybrid working pattern, with a requirement to work from Head Office for two days per week and from home for the remainder. Drawing on your existing experience of complex case management you will be accountable for:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • The efficient management of early conciliation claims.
  • Working with our legal providers to support the defence of tribunal claims
  • To provide a high standard of advice and guidance on case escalations
  • To review and make recommendations to improve our policy and procedures ensuring they comply with current legislation
  • Review and amend template letters/policy documents/myHR content as required
  • Manage ER project activity and initiatives
  • Provide ad-hoc MI reporting  
  • Support the ongoing upskilling of retail managers and the HR team to develop ER capability
  • To be an advocate and deliverer of business change

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE

  • A level or equivalent educational qualification (minimum)
  • Ideally CIPD qualified or equivalent
  • Excellent working knowledge of Employment law and proven application of being able to apply this practically in a workplace situation, including advising on redundancy, restructure, and TUPE
  • Working knowledge of ET claims
  • Effective use of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  • Experience of using a variety of MI platforms to competently interrogate data
