We are looking for Senior Management Accountant to join us in Deeside. You will be working at Iceland Head Office, but you will be a member of the Individual Restaurant Limited brand.

Our restaurant business is benefiting from the strengthening of its management team during the year as well as the acquisition of additional sites. We are also continuing to refit our sites, including the flag ship Piccolino restaurant at Heddon Street in Mayfair, and to review our brand proposition.

The Role

Following an internal promotion, an opportunity has arisen for a management accountant to work alongside the Financial Controller and the rest of the Finance team to provide accurate, timely and insightful financial reporting to the wider business.

This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your own ideas and experience to the role and to develop a rhythm and consistency to the management reporting capability and so will require a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and an ability to challenge current ways of working where appropriate.

This position will suit a professional, confident individual who is comfortable working within a fast-paced environment.

Previous experience within a financial control and management accounting role is essential. Experience within the hospitality/casual dining sector would be great but not essential.

This role will report into the Financial Controller.

Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Provide financial control whilst at the same time developing relationships within the business to provide support and insight to the operations teams
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for review by FC and FD to agreed deadlines
  • Preparation of rolling forecasts and Cashflow projections
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare variance analysis commentary
  • Assisting with the year end budgeting and forecasting process
  • Involvement in the preparation of the year end audit file
  • Support and develop other members of the team and the business
  • Other ad hoc duties as assigned

 

Key Requirements

  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified/part qualified
  • Very strong excel skills
  • Recent knowledge of working in a month end finance role
