An exciting opportunity has arisen within our I.T Department here at Deeside as an Integration Delivery Manager.

 

PURPOSE OF ROLE

The role holder will drive forward and deliver outcome-focused digital, systems and process change across the organisation.

The Delivery Manager will lead on the delivery of all Integration digital development as well as technical systems development to support the business objectives.

They will work closely with the Integration Management Team to shape and manage the squads backlog.

They will work closely with internal resource and third-party developers to ensure business requirements are understood, supplier resources are committed to delivery and projects are kept on track.

Establish strong relationships with all project stakeholders.

The role holder will be trusted to build, lead, inspire and motivate delivery team resources to ensure agreed objectives are accomplished.

The Delivery Manager will work across the whole portfolio of digital services as well as the underlying technologies supporting them. They must be confident and assertive where required and work pro-actively to resolve blockers or impediments to delivery, including through escalation where required.

Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving any issues or blockers that may impact delivery.

Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to minimise any impact on project delivery.

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

DELIVERY

  • Manage the end to end delivery of digital projects and product enhancements and technology infrastructure change.
  • Build and maintain motivated delivery teams, including third party development resource, making sure there is an iterative plan to work towards.
  • Lead by example and coach team members and others, facilitate continuous improvement and apply the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques for the environment.
  • Delivery of reports in line with the reporting requirements of the project and stakeholders.
  • Delivery of the plan, within the agreed quality and cost tolerances and to required deadlines.
  • Proactively manage dependencies, overcome obstacles and get the best value against constraints.
  • Establish effective working relationships with all key stakeholders.

 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT AND CO-ORDINATION

  • Plan projects and product enhancements in sufficient detail to ensure integration of all activities and identification of dependencies.
  • Able to take a continuous approach to planning, forecasting, estimating, managing uncertainty, metrics and measurements, contingency planning and road mapping.
  • Able to communicate the plan, planning assumptions and progress to a range of stakeholders including Directors.
  • Ensure a comprehensive budget is prepared, reflecting planning and all resource needs.

 

RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

  • Ensure all necessary cross-functional resources are identified and committed to the delivery plan.
  • Communicate to ensure that all resources understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Direct and motivate the delivery team to achieve the desired results, ensure effective communication is maintained throughout the project.
  • Ensure effective management of third-party agencies, developers and service providers.
  • Identification and engagement of a project team with the skills and experience required to deliver the project outcomes.

 

Qualifications/Knowledge/Experience

  • No minimum qualifications are required, although formal qualifications would be an advantage.
  • Experience of working in an agile environment and the management of a product backlog.
  • Knowledges of Microsoft Azure DevOps would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and coordinating skills will ability to gather and challenge requirements.
  • Experience of a fast-paced retailer, supply chain or similar environment would be an advantage.
