Reporting into the QA Supervisor, the role will entail cleaning across our site facilities, alongside assisting the Production team in our kitchen’s pot wash department. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform tasks efficiently and thoroughly.

Role Details
Role: Cleaning Operative
Rate of pay: £11.50 per hour
Hours: 25 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 12:00PM-17:00PM
Contract: 6 Month FTC
Job Description
The Cleaning Operative will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in various facilities, particularly focusing on the cleaning and sanitization of the canteen, office, and other non-production areas, ensuring a clean and orderly environment for staff and visitors.
Responsibilities include:
- Clean and sanitize non-production areas and facilities as and when required, using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Ensure all site facilities meet hygiene standards, performing and documenting routine inspection and maintenance activities when required.
- Properly organize and store cleaned items in designated areas to maintain cleanliness.
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
- Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Report any hygiene stock requirements and maintain supply rooms.
- Cooperate with the rest of the staff on site in clean as you go processes to support overall site operations.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Assist the hygiene operatives in kitchen clean and within pot wash department as and when required.
- All other duties as assigned by the QA Supervisor.
Skills and Experience
- Proven working experience as a Cleaner, with experience in a food-manufacturing or hospitality environment desirable.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Integrity and ability to work independently.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
