Description

We have a new opportunity for a Licensing Administrator to join our Legal Department. As a Licensing Administrator, you will play a vital role in our Legal Services Department, providing essential support and ensuring compliance with licensing regulations. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, motivated, and eager to grow within a national retail company.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Licensing Manager
  • Assist with the implementation of legislation to ensure legal compliance.
  • Implement processes to ensure that our stores, store colleagues and the company remain correctly licensed.
  • Report to business on compliance issues.
  • Process licensing applications such as:
    • Personal Licences
      • Coordinate licensing training for colleagues.
      • Process application paperwork.
      • Process criminal record checks.
      • Apply to local authorities.
    • Premises Licences
      • Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) Variations
      • Designated Premises Manager (DPM) Variations
      • Photocopy, scan, and print Premises Licences for distribution.
    • Maintain and update files, electronic spreadsheets, and databases.
    • Compile ‘Period End’ compliance reports for Senior Management.
    • Process invoices for payment.

Skills:

  • Articulate with excellent communication skills.
  • Organised, trustworthy, and reliable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power BI, SharePoint) and SAP.
  • Experience in an administrative role is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of the Licensing Act 2003 or Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 is preferred, but not essential as training will be provided.
  • Excellent telephone manner and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Personal Licence Holder (APLH/SCPLH) is a plus but not required.
