Here at Iceland we’re different. We care. We’re not a dull stuffy corporate. We’re one big team. A diverse group of people who get stuck in and work together. If this is how you like to work then please read on……..
We are looking to recruit an Information Security Analyst (ISA) into the IT Department. This person will play a key role in maintaining and improving the security of Iceland’s information assets.
The role requires a good technical and practical understanding of information security topics and techniques. Knowing how ‘would be’ hackers exploit different vulnerabilities is an essential skill for this position.
The ISA will be comfortable working with a variety of people from across the Iceland business – providing high quality security guidance, whether formally or informally.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for existing information security processes such as regular audits of key security components, vulnerability scanning and management, dealing with alerts from the SOC, assisting with training and awareness programmes.
Getting involved in new IT and business projects is also a crucial part of this role. The ISA will be passionate about ensuring information security is considered and addressed early on in any development work.
The ISA will continuously look for weaknesses and improvements in Iceland’s security landscape and will be happy to drive these improvements through either by themselves or as part of a team. They will keep themselves up to date with emerging risks and vulnerabilities, and be able to explain how these may affect the Iceland business.
It is likely that the successful candidate will be someone who reads extensively about and experiments with cyber-security in their own time. Being part of a small team, the ISA will need to be able to effectively communicate highly technical concepts to people who do not know their SSL from their XSS.
Iceland is a fast paced and flexible business where people are not constrained by their job title or grade, therefore the ISA will need to be equally flexible and adaptive.
Applicants for this role must demonstrate effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills – they must also be fully proficient in the use of Microsoft productivity applications.
